Bill to Abolish Minimum Sentences for Non-Violent Felons

Senate Bill 1141 states for convictions occurring on or after the effective date of this act, all mandatory minimum sentences specified in law for nonviolent felony offenses, as defined in Section 571 of Title 57 of the Oklahoma Statutes, shall be abolished, except for those provisions of the Habitual Offender Act pursuant to Section 51.1 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
